Business Security and the environment
Business Security aims to minimize its environmental imprint and that of its products during their entire life cycle. In a systematic way Business Security wants to work for a sustainable development of society.
Business Security intends to:
- Implement, maintain and improve an environmental management policy
- Assure itself of its conformance with its own stated policy
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
Every department (market, development, production, administration) has a manager with responsibility to lead the department according to our environmental policy. This work should be performed jointly and regularly to take full advantage of the common knowledge in the organization.
Environmental Policy
As a company committed to continuous improvement and prevention of pollution Business Security sets yearly environmental objectives and targets. Consideration has to be taken of the nature of the business with the special demands posed on the development and production of security products.
The environmental aspects of the company’s activities, products and services are as follow:
- The company as a whole considering travel and energy conservation
- Production considering resources used and recycled, both one’s own and that of suppliers.
- Development considering environmental aspects when designing and planning new projects.
- Training staff with regards to environmental aspects and the company’s environmental management system
Through its business continuity work the company maintains a procedure to identify and respond to potential emergency situations and potential accidents that can have an environmental impact. The company shall respond to actual emergency situations and accidents and prevent or mitigate the associated adverse environmental impact. The emergency preparedness and response procedures are periodically be tested, reviewed and if necessary revised.
